About us – Litchi Catering
Litchi Catering is a Catering Company based in Cape Tow, was started in 2013 after, Dohné Green; owner and operator, had been in the industry as a freelance private chef.
Dohné says “The birth of my daughter brought a new perspective to life and challenged me to focus my love of food into something little more practical. I wanted to continue working closely with my clients and connecting with what was important to them, but also honour my new role as a mom. Catering provided that opportunity for me; and we have sailed ever since.”
Whether you are hosting a plan and milestone event or the life celebration of a loved one, we know and understand not only the importance of beautiful food but also how important is that you personally can be present, with out worrying about anything. We take the pressure out of your event and provide you with effortless and seamless solution to help you feel relaxed, so that you can connect with those closest to you.
Each function is supervised by me personally, and as a classically trained chef from silwood, it is without saying that with years of experience backed by Cordon Bleu tradition, only the finest and freshest ingredients are used to create a memorable experience. We pride ourselves in the fact that every menu is created to suit you personally, your theme, your event or simply your family’s favourites, no detail is missed and we guarantee that even the most complicated guests will be left feeling content and satisfied.
My ethos of working closely with my staff be it in the kitchen or onsite instills trust and loyalty and it is very seldom that you wont find me hands on with packing a job, plating platters or co ordinating a function.

About Dohnè Green
My name is Dohne Green and I am a qualified Cordon Bleu Chef, where I was professionally trained at The Silwood School of Cookery and I graduated
in 2001.
I have a warm and fun loving personality that connects easily with clients, be it just for a once off function or a long term stay.I am easy going and my priority is to make sure that you have the best gastronomic experience in the comfort of your own home, rented villa, beach house or yacht. I am comfortable anywhere.
For most of my cooking career I have either run my own catering company or been a private chef to well known personalities, both local and international. I have also been involved with mass catering, like the Volvo Ocean Race (800 pax) FNB BIG WALK (1500 pax) and the Table of Unity (1000 pax) to name a few.
I am hard working and passionate and years of having my own business has taught me the importance of commitment, clear communication, and organisation. By nature, am honest, loyal, trustworthy, and am a stickler for punctuality. I have often been described as “going beyond the call of duty ”
I believe that my strengths lie in my ability to be able to interpret a clients needs
and produce exactly what they are looking for. For me the opportunity to cook is like the opportunity to dance, I love every single moment that I am in the kitchen and it shows.
